Mono Ethylene Glycol (M.E.G.) is a chemical substance that is produced by the reaction of ethylene or ethylene oxide. It is most commonly used as a polymer precursor but also as a corrosion inhibitor in antifreeze and in coolants, and in the manufacturing of polyester. It is miscible in ethanol, acetone and water.
