Chlorohexidine Gluconate 20% Solution is a broad spectrum bacteriostasis antiseptic agent, disinfectant, cosmetic biocide, and preservative. It is very effective against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, facultative anaerobes, aerobes, and yeast. It may be used in antiseptic soap, for disinfecting wounds and burns, hair dyes and bleaches, makeup, and other skin and hair care products.

Found in many OTC products to clean and prepare the skin before surgery and before injections in order to help reduce bacteria that potentially may cause skin infections, Chlorohexidine Gluconate 20% Solution is an almost colourless liquid that is miscible with water, that works by killing or preventing the growth of bacteria on the skin.
