Cetrimonium Chloride (Ctac)

Cetrimonium Chloride (CTAC) is a quaternary cationic conditioner widely used in hair care formulations for its anti-static, anti-frizz, and detangling properties. It is compatible with non-ionic and cationic surfactants, as well as most polar solvents, but is incompatible with anionics, soaps, nitrates, heavy metals, oxidants, rubber, and proteins. This water-soluble ingredient has a mild alcohol-like scent.

As an emulsifier, Cetrimonium Chloride (CTAC) improves the texture, appearance, and lather of conditioners, shampoos, and hair treatments.
